We are Stevi and Matt Savage, husband and wife, and these are our three kiddos! Rhodes, Paloma, and Townes. :) Shortly after we were married in 2008, Averyhouse was born and we have been photographing stunning weddings in and around Chicago ever since. Over the years, we began escaping to Mexico during the winter (aka slow season) and fell in love with a little coastal town just north of Tulum. We now split our time between both places. Our favorite things to do as a family are snorkel, surf, and hang with friends on the beach!

Since we began Averyhouse, our approach to creating images that convey feeling and emotion has remained the same. We have always sought to capture the feeling in a moment rather than aiming to create technically perfect images. We truly love taking photos and are always looking for fleeting moments and feelings to capture, whether with our own family, in nature, or when we are traveling.

We love how a photograph can spark emotions and distant memories or represent things that were relevant at that time; for example, how you and your spouse hold hands, smile at each other, or dance together.  It is likely that you will do those same things, in the same way, fifty years from now.  Because we have the opportunity to capture and preserve those feelings and moments now, your children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren may someday have the privilege of looking back at those photographs and recognize all of the small things about you that they have grown to love and adore.
